Shared Nursery and Toddler Bedroom with an Under the Sea Theme?

I would love tips on how to do a shared bedroom (nursery and toddler room) for a baby boy and toddler girl aged 2 with a sea creatures theme with fishes and starfish etc.

An Under the Sea theme incorporating fishes and starfish is a great way to decorate a shared bedroom of a baby boy and a toddler girl. I’m not sure whether what colors are currently in the room or whether your daughter has a toddler or twin bed so I will offer up a variety of suggestions based on popular Under the Seas themed decor accessories.

First I would start off with buying coordinating bedding sets – one for your son’s crib and one for your daughter’s bed. Once you have the bedding, pick a color from the pattern to paint the walls. For instance a light turquoise may be a nice paint color in the shared bedroom of a boy and a girl.

Once you have you’re bedding and paint color selected I’d give some thoughts to window treatments like a matching valance. Under the Sea Wall art and wall decals and coordinating kids rug is a great way to tie the look of the room together.

If you have existing furniture you may want to add sea turtle, octopus and/or dolphin drawer pull knobs that will further help tie the look of the room together.

Other shared bedroom ideas include a Under the Sea lamp for bedtime stories and a Under the Sea mobile for your son’s crib.

You may also wish to personalize the space with name plaques or wall letters that spell out each child’s name. Personal collections of seashells, starfish and seaglass on a decorative shelf would also be a nice touch.

Hope you’ve found the above Under the Sea theme ideas has been helpful in planning out your child’s shared bedroom project.
